Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a site search tool is sent to the third-party provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies any result. We do not retain or log the terms entered through the tool on our own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we retain the message in order to respond. We keep it within our organization unless disclosure is required by a legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, our systems may receive technical information about the visit, including:

No Court-Record Data on File
This site does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Jefferson County dockets or personal case records. It provides general guidance about official records maintained by the Jefferson County Court Clerk Magistrate, the Jefferson County District Court Clerk, and Nebraska JUSTICE. Public court-record access is governed by Nebraska Court Rules and applicable law, not by this website. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or records about third parties.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate search boxes that may appear on this site. Information submitted through a tool is governed by the partner's privacy policy, retention practices, and sharing practices, all of which are outside our control. Review the partner's policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
Our pages link to official clerk resources, Nebraska Judicial Branch services, Nebraska JUSTICE, legal-aid resources, and third-party tools. A link takes you to a separate site governed by its own privacy policy, so review that policy before giving it personal information.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to track activity across sites for targeted advertising. That tracking is not operated by us.

We do not sell personal information. It may be received by:
- Search partners handling a query entered through a site tool

How We Protect Your Data

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If we learn that a minor has provided personal information, we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Nebraska's Public Records Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. §§ 84-712 to 84-712.09, governs access to public records. Court-record access is also subject to Nebraska Ct. R. § 1-805 and the electronic-record rules for County Court and District Court, including §§ 6-1451 and 6-1523. Those rules do not alter this site's privacy practices. At a minimum, you can:
- Request a copy of information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
- Ask that we delete your information
- Opt out of certain data-processing activities
